Castle of Crossed Destinies presented a sonic environment that extended their existing digital work into physical space, inviting visitors into their intersectional feminist dialogue. The installation featured podcasts and playing cards produced by Castle of Crossed Destinies in 2020-2021, as well as technologies animating our collaboration: tarot cards, raw cacao beans and radio antennas.

As part of the festival, Castle of Crossed Destinies also hosted a digital workshop. This online workshop opened a dialogue based on the Castle of Crossed Destinies playing cards “The Devil,” “Anandamide,” “7Mhz” and monologues, which are informed by feminist principles. Participants were invited to respond to the cards’ monologues and questions in various media. The workshop is a space for self-reflection, collecting, and collectively discussing these responses.

From May 10–14, 2022, Akademie Schloss Solitude organized the festival “Fragile Solidarity/Fragile Connections”.
Working with artists and experts from the Digital Solitude community, and collaborating with our local partners in Stuttgart, the festival’s thematic orientation is dedicated to various forms of solidarity, connectivity, cohesion, and togetherness within off- and online spaces. “Fragile Solidarity/Fragile Connections” explores the mutual relations of solidarity, networks, and technologies as a means beyond the so-called digital divide and the technology’s exploitative histories.
A hybrid festival by Akademie Schloss Solitude’s Digital Solitude program in cooperation with Kunstverein Wagenhalle, Württembergischer Kunstverein, and Merz Akademie.
